Neighbourhood Liverpool, Boardroom Table

Recently went here for a friend’s birthday dinner and it was an absolute shambles from beginning to end. Had a booking for 7:45, arrived a little bit before the booking time was told there was a delay and that we would be seated at 8 as there was a problem with our table, we waited and as we did more people were coming in and getting seated before us, 8:20 we got seated after questioning the host about what was going on and it went downhill from there. Waited over 2 hours for food which we had to remind the staff that we did order food and when it came it was cold and overdone and had to be sent back, constantly having to get waiter’s attention to be served, drinks were basically water.In the end the manager came and explained that they were understaffed, I completely understand but if that is the case for that night walk ins should have been limited as it stretched the staff thin which resulted in a very poor experience which is a shame considering the venue is stunning. We were only in Liverpool for 24hours and having paid £45 a head for 9 people to experience that and not even offered a partial refund is shocking. Never again.

We had a booking for 1930. Despite, arriving on time, checking in, it took until 20:00 to be seated. This is the second time I have visited and have been late to be seated. Once seated late, it took a further 10 minutes for us to have someone attend to us and take our drinks order. The attendant was informed that 2 out of the 5 of us were for alcohol free bottomless dining. The drinks service was not great, and we had to constantly attract attention to order drinks. Food arrived and was good. Onto the bill, upon receiving the outstanding bill, despite being advised that 2 people were for alcohol free bottomless dining, all drinks had been put through and charged as alcohol. I questioned this with the attendant at the till who's attitude was shocking and was telling me all drinks were alcohol and she could kot change it. I told her to go and get the guy who had been taking our orders as I wasn't paying the bill without it being changed as it was incorrect. The guy eventually came and clarified that we had had 2 alcohol free. I was also appalled that a service charge had been added automatically and had this removed. Not the best experience, awful customer service, good food.
