About Venue

The original alfresco drinking and dining venue in The City of London; ‘The Coq’s’ legendary outdoor terraces spread across the rooftop of No. 1 Poultry overlooking the Bank of England. An oasis of gardens, event spaces and an award-winning Conran designed restaurant offering elegance in hospitality; delivering an outstanding menu of classic French cuisine. Part of the Evolv Collection.

Our North terrace is available for Exclusive hire, where we can accommodate up to 100 people for drinks and canapés (standing reception) or up to a maximum of 40 people for a seated lunch (12 pm to 4 pm) or dinner (5.30 pm until midnight). It is an outdoor space which is fully covered and heated.

5/5 Stars. First time visiting Coq d’Argent and have to say i’ll definitely be back! My partner and I dropped in for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. The food was lovely, the atmosphere peaceful and the staff were super attentive and on it! Special thanks to Greg and Sabastian for taking such good care of us, the engaging conversation and for making us feel very welcomed. Not to mention the apple parfait was the cherry on top to a wonderful meal. 10/10 would visit again soon!

We had a wonderful dinner with friends at Coq d’Argent in St Paul’s. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for an evening out. We ordered the Tartare de Boeuf, which was perfectly seasoned and full of flavour, and the Dingley Dell Pork Tomahawk, beautifully cooked and tender. A special thanks to Giuseppe, the Head Sommelier, for his impeccable wine recommendations — starting with a lovely champagne and followed by an excellent Amarone, both pairing perfectly with our dishes. Fantastic food, wine, and service — truly a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

I had such a wonderful time at Coq dArgent! The roof terrace is beautiful, and the whole experience was just perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. A special thank you to Lorena and Greg — they were fantastic! So helpful, polite and genuinely lovely. Their service made the evening even better. Highly recommend!
