About Venue
Hawksmoor Guildhall, the much-loved steakhouse Hawksmoor can be found on Basinghall Street in what's rumoured to be the world's first steakhouse in The City. The restaurant is 2 minutes away from Bank Station.
The Sublime Society Room
A room dedicated to the actors, artists and songsmiths who founded the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks back in 18th Century London. Part members’ club, part secret society, this boho group met weekly to consume vast quantities of beefsteak and booze – just punch, port or porter, no fancy French wines allowed. Before long, everyone wanted in. Even the Prince Regent (soon-to-be King George IV).
The Private Dining Room in Hawksmoor Guildhall, a short walk from Bank, boasts a 24 person dining table centered in an elegant wooden panelled room which pays tribute to the medieval history of The City of London, making this a unique space for a range of events; from dinner & lunches to large gatherings of friends and family. The discrete audio visual equipment, including a 80” screen also makes the space suitable for meetings and presentations.
Cocktail receptions are available on arrival, there are three specially designed sharing menus to choose from, which offer a chance to sample a range of Hawksmoor classic dishes, our team can also suggest wine pairings that are tailored to your choice of menu.

We enjoyed a memorable anniversary meal at Hawksmoor Guildhall. We choose the early dinner meal, for which the taste and quantities were amazing - incredible value for money. What really made the evening for us was Gabriel, who looked after us beautifully and arranged an unforgettable desert accompanied by delicious port selections. Well done to Gabriel and the whole team at Hawksmoor !

Visited today with a couple of mates. This wasn’t my first time at Hawksmoor and it certainly will not be the last. The food - Delicious, great quality, tasty The service - Excellent Atmosphere - It’s a bit dark for my liking but still great. I liked the booth seating. It’s pricy but worth it.

Had the most wonderful annual birthday feast at Hawksmoor on Saturday evening. We were warmly welcomed by Tamara and Eva and every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the most incredible and memorable dining experience. We started with the Vietnamese oysters, then Hawksmoor Caesar and Bone marrow with onions. The oysters were exquisitely prepared and flavoured, the Caesar salad was as amazing as remembered and the bone marrow was a new dish for which I absolutely loved. The onions and bone marrow spread on sourdough is delicious and is now a firm favourite. Prime Rib with peppercorn sauce and fries were all perfectly prepared and the beef oh so tender and flavourful. We washed it all down beautifully with a delicious Cabernet. The finale of peanut butter shortbread and salted caramel rollos made for a spectacular ending to a gorgeous evening. Thank you so much for making our experience so special. See you again soon!

We visited in early June and I've only now realised I have forgotten to write my review of this special occasion. Our dear friends invited us for a dinner to their favourite Hawksmoor location. In fact his was our first time at any Hawksmoor and we were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. All food and drinks were mouthwatering, delicious and of high quality. The atmosphere and ambience were just perfect for our needs. We received attentive but not intrusive service. Lavatories were clean and well looked after. We definitely recommend and look forward visiting again soon. Thank you

We loved everything about this place. The service was top notch!! The steak was fabulous. The sticky toffee pudding here is absolutely the best in all of London. I had a cough and wanted something soothing for the throat. The server got me a ginger syrup, fresh lemon tea. ☕️ so good.. Also the hot toddy!!!😘
