The grand entrance is ideal for reception drinks and leads guests up the elegant staircase with its ornamental bronze and wrought iron banisters, striking marble walls and crystal chandelier. From the stairway, guests are led through to the Main Hall, which is the very essence of grandeur and opulence. The Hall walls are handsomely panelled in English oak and walnut, with luxurious rich crimson velvet curtains. Fascinating figurines and motifs support the main beams, while ten magnificent crystal chandeliers, adorned in gold leaf effect, hang from the superbly engraved ceiling.
The opulent Main Hall can accommodate up to 600 guests for a standing event, 450 in theatre style and 450 for a seated dinner.

I have joined Porchester Centre in October last year. I have found that I actually enjoyed my time there more than anywhere else ( everyone active centre ).The main purpose of me joining was the fact that the Centre has 2 swimming pools. One small( for kids and swimming lessons) and one big for adult swimming. The staff are nice and friendly, if any problems arise they deal with them in a swift manner and they are very polite and respectful. The premises are maintained in a orderly fashion and clean. Definitely would recommend 🙌

Grand building! But very aged the royal red carpets passed having a good scrub they actually look mouldy. The chairs were painfully disgusting 🫣 Ripped, aged, stained with black mould stains. The room we were in was worn and sad. I couldn't imagine being in there with no heating. I gave two stars purely because l imagined a wedding in the grandness of the beauty of the interior. But it really needs upgrading on the inside.
