Our 6-day stay was absolutely wonderful and near-perfect. The bedding was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Having a kitchen was highly convenient, and the washing machine was so clean that we used it throughout our entire stay without any worries. The pool was also very pleasant and well-maintained. On top of that, the staff were exceptionally friendly and always greeted us with warm smiles. However, I would like to make a few suggestions for improvement: Elevator Maintenance: The main elevator took too long to be repaired. Because of this, we had to use the smaller elevator, which was unpleasant due to a strong cigarette smoke odor inside. Entrance Accessibility: The hotel entrance only has stairs, making it very difficult and exhausting to move our heavy suitcases. Installing a ramp or providing assistance would be a great improvement. Despite these minor inconveniences, we would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if we return to the area. Thank you for making our trip memorable!

Great location and building is cool. Quick walk to the Tube station. The rooms pretty big but the bathroom layout with the barely fogged out wall. Also, the WiFi kept having issues during our stay, with it being out for a significant amount of time twice. I stayed there about a year ago so hard to remember details but if I was forced to stay there again I wouldn't mind.

Stayed here during a video shoot in Shoreditch and it’s one of the more unique hotels I’ve stayed in. The Art Deco building is full of character, with plenty of original features that make it feel like stepping back in time. The rooms are large and comfortable, although the bed and bath separated by glass is certainly an unusual design choice. The hotel has a great atmosphere, but some areas felt a little tired and could do with some TLC. Overall it felt closer to a 4-star than a 5-star experience. I didn’t get chance to try the food or bar, but I did use the heated pool and gym. The pool is a good size for swimming lengths and the gym is well equipped. A memorable stay with plenty of history and personality in the heart of Shoreditch.

Disappointing visit. Booked via the Marriott Bonvoy App as was spending time in London with my family (wife and daughter) as we were visiting City St George's University, namely Urdang, as my daughter will be attending there September 2026. We were firstly greeted very pleasantly by a lady on reception who went through the usual check in points. I was handed a check in form to sign which she did not reference the 5% discretionary service charge applied upon check out. When I questioned this before signing, she said she could remove it but for it to not be pointed out was disappointing as I stay in Marriott chain hotels up and down the country and had I assumed the terms were the same, there would have been a charge I was unaware of. Secondly, we were given our room key only to find the first room allocated did not have air conditioning in the room. The fact that it has been the hottest week on record in the UK and that the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning is hugely disappointing. The room also didn't have the additional bed set up yet the booking was for 3 people, but sleeping facilities in the room were for only 2! I went back down to reception and asked to be moved to another room that 1) had air conditioning and 2) had adequate sleeping facilities for 3 people. We were relocated to the lower ground floor and the room was acceptable but my comment would be that the bathroom had a frosted glass window which meant we were unable to shower or take a bath as felt it inappropriate as if you leant against the glass, you could see the silhouette of the person's body shape which as you can image, this is not something a 17 daughter wants to see from their parents as well as vice versa. Whilst the hotel was situated in a good location, our experience would mean we would not look to stay at this hotel in the future.
