The Half Moon, The Workshop

Incredible rooms and breakfast, and a lovely pub too! The staff were incredible and made our stay so special and the room was insanely beautiful! A great spot to explore Herne Hill and London!

I travel to London for work most weeks and have stayed at many hotels and air bnbs. The Half Moon is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. The location is perfect, Brockwell Park a stone's throw away and there are independent shops and cafes on your doorstep. The staff working for the establishment are simply gorgeous, beautiful energy, so helpful, and very attentive to their customers. The bedrooms are stunning. This building dates back to the 1800s and the rooms have been designed to take advantage of their historical roots, gorgeous high ceilings, thick blackout curtains, claw foot baths, furniture suited to the time: heavy dark woods and tapestries. And the food, just wow! Breakfast was unbelievable and I also had an evening meal in the restaurant; receipes prepared with thought, love and care. I am vegetarian and did not struggle to find something I enjoyed. Will definitely be back, thank you so much!

Fantastic stay! The location is unbeatable—right next to the Herne Hill station and in a lovely neighborhood. Our room was very comfy and well-equipped with everything we needed. There was a bit of street noise at night, but it didn't bother us at all. The free breakfast was a great bonus, and the beer garden in the back is absolutely lovely. Highly recommend!
