We stayed here on a trip between Christmas and NYE. The standout feature of this hotel is the magnificent location. It is steps away from the South Kensington station, which is well-connected for everywhere you want to go in London. Staying here makes getting around absolutely effortless. The hotel is beautiful, with classic styling and charm. The staff is lovely, and very accommodating to requests. Of special note is the Housekeeping service, who showed up daily for cleaning and turndown service. We didn’t need much of either, but they were very visible and always around to make your stay better. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite, which had several fabulous features. First, the bed was very large and extremely comfortable. It was easy to get proper rest at night with such a wonderful bed. We’ve stayed all over the world, and the bed I our room was probably the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve ever encountered. The room also had ample storage. Shelves and a large bench inside the door complimented a roomy closet. The bathroom featured heated floors and a large vanity. What we noticed about this hotel is how quiet it was. Although it is located on a main road, we never heard cars. It is adjacent to a cul-de-sac to thru traffic was minimized. We never heard other guests. It was nice to have such a beautiful and quiet place to come back to every night. Although we don’t have small children, there were families partaking in the science tea every afternoon, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. This will certainly be our hotel of choice when we return to London. An excellent experience all-around.

The staff make this hotel - they are all very friendly and helpful. I had to extended my stay because of a personal situation that developed during my visit, and they could not have been more helpful with that, always enquiring as to whether things were being resolved. On top of this, the location is brilliant - plenty to do in the immediate vicinity and very well connected to the rest of the city, with a tube station practically next door, and bus stops and taxi rank on the street outside. Will definitely return.

Exceptional Service in the Perfect Kensington Location We had a fantastic stay at The Ampersand Hotel and what really stands out is both the team and the location. The front desk staff were outstanding. Professional, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in was smooth, recommendations were thoughtful, and every interaction felt polished but personal. They set the tone immediately and made everything easy. The restaurant team delivered the same level of excellence. Service was attentive and well paced, never rushed, never intrusive. The experience felt elevated but still relaxed, which is a hard balance to get right. You can tell there is strong leadership and pride behind that team. The location in South Kensington is a major advantage. You step outside and you are surrounded by great coffee shops, juice spots, and a local farmers market that gives the neighborhood real energy. It feels refined but lived in. For us, that made the stay even better. It is the kind of area that makes you want to walk everywhere and explore. Great property, even better people, and an unbeatable location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for couples or families.
