I rented this place recently for the launch of my book. It was tremendous. Both Emmanuelle and Malakai (who bought a book) were extremely helpful/accommodating/charming. The launch went off perfectly. And of course the big plus is that it’s in a pub, so the drinks were on tap as was the food. The whole thing could not have been better

We used this excellent space for a community concert featuring the students of SWeet! Recorder Consort CIC. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The space is beautiful, and can be turned into a studio theatre with stage lighting and professional quality sound. It is fully air conditioned for the comfort of both performers and audience. The students were able to use a room back-stage for their bags and instrument cases, and the kitchen fridge was packed with carafes of cold water which kept us all going in the Summer heat. There is also a front-of-house area which became vital for checking tickets and serving refreshments. The only issue is disabled access as there is no lift. There was a disabled lady in the audience who did manage the stairs and afterwards used her wheelchair for the performance itself, but if you can't manage stairs, this isn't the venue for you. We're taking off just one star for that reason; otherwise this venue is highly recommended by SWeet! staff, students and families. Thank you Emmanuelle, Malachi and all the team!
