About Venue
The Watsons General Telergraph has 12 amazing taps that are devoted to craft beer, including 8 on rotation. These will be split equally between local breweries and the best that the global scene has to offer. Music will be at the heart of Watson’s, and will come on black plastic from the pub’s own record collection of predominately 60s and 70s soul and funk, and a little jazz. The Watson’s has also created a year-round Garden space with fire pits and covered areas with comfortable furniture.
The Function room is located at the back of the venue with access to the main bar area and the wonderful garden. The room has tons of natural light from the garden due the slide and fold patio doors. The room is equipped with its own fully functioning bar, which can be stocked with a huge array of craft beers, wines and spirits of your choosing. This wonderful space is ideal for any weather. Whether you are planning a cosy winter event or a summer party. plus you can have the picnic benches right outside it too!

Stopped at the pub on our walk, which we enjoyed very much. We managed to get a table in the garden away from the smoke of the BBQs. The garden was busy, but the only downside was the smoke from the barbecue that spoilt it a little. We have enjoyed a plate of sardines with vegetables.They had a big selection of lagers and other drinks. The toilets were clean, and the service was attentive.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at WGT on the weekend and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We hired the event space at the back and it was the perfect set up. The staff were also incredibly helpful and couldn’t do enough to help us set up. The food was on point as always!

Well done Watson, what a great glow up you had recently! Was pleasantly surprised. Loved to see a different menu than usual Sunday roast - instead serving BBQ. Nice jazz tunes in a cozy back garden, just overall great atmosphere! Currently our fave pub in the area 🙂

Three of us had an evening meal with a couple of beers. Both food and drink were very good and reasonably priced. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere with spacious beer garden. We were lucky to be there on the night of their weekly pub quiz as well! Recommended.
