The Glasshaus is based inside the giant food and drink market ‘Mercato Metropolitano’, a short walk from Elephant and Castle station in South London. Whether you want a German beer fresh from the tank, a gin distilled onsite with our distillery partners, a refreshing cocktail, wine or something else, we’ve got you covered.
Summer calls for an event at the beautiful Glasshaus. With cosy wooden decking and rattan lampshades, it’s perfect for yoga sessions, team building activities, or your next birthday party.
German Kraft Glasshaus is situated within the vibrant Mercato Metropolitano food market. This 1,150 sqft venue features wooden flooring and fully transparent polycarbonate walls and roof, offering a bright, open atmosphere—ideal for summer parties, corporate events, and more.
The space is flexible, with beer benches available for versatile setups, or you can leave it completely open for a wide range of activities.
At Glasshaus, we’re committed to creating unforgettable experiences. With our stunning venue and the exceptional taste of German Kraft beer, brewed on-site, along with Jim & Tonic cocktails, we ensure your event is both memorable and unique.
The minimum spend is based solely on drink pre-orders or orders from the Glasshaus. Our partner, Mercato Metropolitano, can assist with food pre-orders or prepaid food cards for your guests.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations 30 days in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations 30 days to 7 days in advance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations for events starting within 7 days are non-refundable.
Other rules
• A deposit of 50% is to be paid within 3 days of the booking confirmation. • The outstanding balance of the hire fee must be paid in full 7 days prior to the event. • The packages must be paid either in advance or on the day of the event. • Non-split payments. • Minimum 50 people, maximum 150 people. • Only food purchased from the market can be taken into the Glasshaus. • Only drinks purchased from the Glasshaus bar are permitted in the Glasshaus. • Tables and benches can be rearranged. • Temporary decor is permitted.

Have visited the venue for Candle light concert: Best of Joe Hisaishi. The ballroom where concert was taking place is neat and clean. The small sized space has created a cozy setting for candle light music performance.
