About Venue

We are the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre. We produce bold and relevant world-class theatre.

We are committed to being vital to, and representative of, our local community and to being a major force in London and UK theatre. We develop and nurture the next generation of talent, and provide opportunities for young people from all backgrounds to discover the power of creativity.

Right in the heart of Hammersmith, your beautiful theatre is here for everyone.

Our beautiful Victorian Frank Matcham designed theatre provides a striking backdrop for any event. Refurbished in 2018 with 591 fixed seats across three levels. For smaller conferences, it can be hired stalls-only for groups up to 328.

The Main House at the Lyric Hammersmith is perfect for a wide range of events from conferences and presentations through to large scale networking and corporate events. The Lyric is also able to hire the Main House in conjunction with other spaces for larger events to allow for breakout rooms, office use, additional presentation areas and catering facilities.

Please note that unfortunately our Main House is not available to hire for external theatre productions and performances that are for sale to the general public.

Watched Sing Street which was absolutely amazing. The theatre is lovely as well with friendly staff. Long queue for the women’s toilet though. ( was with a lady fiend and our daughters) Sing Street is great though… the way everything is thought out and played out is brilliant.

Lovely theatre, we were lucky enough to be able to have front row seats for Dracula recently. Great performance, confusing at times, but definately quality acting! Too much femanism for me, it was a dark, punchy, confident performance by verh talented young people, great effects - enjoy the jump at the start! Comfortable seats, good bar choice, and helpful staff!

Loved this little theatre. We were there a few weeks a go to watch the wonderful Sing Street. Great atmosphere offering tailored drinks to the theme of the show. My wife had a Guinness Prosecco which she loved, themed on the Dublin set show.

🎭 Sing Street – One of the BEST shows we’ve ever seen. ✨ Incredible cast. 💔 Sensational emotion. 🎶 Full of unexpected twists, even as a remix. 💯 Worth it. It’s the kind of performance that makes you laugh, moves you deeply, and leaves you feeling inspired long after the curtain falls. The theatre 🎭 is a lovely space & clean. Staff are friendly. 10-15min drive from Travel Lodge Chiswick. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

I watched Dracula here, September 2025. The venue itself is intimate and I like that there is a full bar and events place a floor below. The lack of accessibility options for the differently abled can be an issue. This place is perfect for a smaller production that requires a more intimate and close setting. This rendition of Dracula worked perfectly for this. Location is convenient as it was a bloc or two from the Hammersmith Station. Would see another show here again!
