Home comforts and delicious drinks to a soundtrack of hip-hop and RnB. Modern Irish Hospitality without the twee!! Established December 6th 2018 by Dublin born and raised Aaron Wall. Aaron with a background at the helm of award-winning bars and cocktail bars in Paris, Dublin and London, such as London Cocktail Club and Callooh Callay, brings his passion for hospitality, great guest experience and great product together to deliver a bar that embodies Modern Irish Hospitality. A local bar with an international reach. Since opening, Homeboy Bar has been critically acclaimed and most importantly become a community hub in Islington.
With a focus on celebrating Irish producers, the cocktail menu is composed of three pillars: Irish Whiskey, where the drinks showcase the versatility that once seen Irish Whiskey as the top selling spirit in the world; Contemporary, utilising modern techniques to create unashamedly delicious drinks; and Classics, paying homage to some of the modern classic cocktails of our time. And of course we are also known for serving the Best Pint of Guinness in London!!
Our Drinks Menu The Set List: Volume 1 - is a setlist for your evening starting with Disc 01: The Intro, drinks we're well known for and easy going drinks to start your night; Disc 02: The Crescendo, we dial it up with more playful drinks and rich flavours and Disc 03: The Finish, for when you've decided you'll have just one more, we suggest you finish with one of these drinks.
Homeboy’s simple food offering includes sinful snacks such as Garlic Cheese Fries and Beef Chilli Nachos, or for a more substantial meal try our Cheese Burger with our signature Spicy Mayo or an Irish classic, the Chicken Fillet Roll. Also on the menu are the homemade home comforts of Beef and Guinness Stew, served alongside Soda Bread made using Aaron's Da's recipe.

Non-Exclusive Bookings: Larger groups may be split between two or more adjacent tables if we are unable to accommodate everyone on the same table. Sometimes the group may be a mixture of seating and standing depending on how busy the bar is. Running late? Don’t fret! Just send us an email to give us a heads up – it’s no bother. We hold tables for 15 minutes after your booking start time, however if we do not hear from you or your party, we will give away your booking and try our best to accommodate your party as a walk in. After 5:30pm we operate a strict smart casual dress code, specifically no Tracksuits, Joggers or Sportswear. Shorts welcomed in the summer but need to be smart casual in line with our dress code i.e. denim & chinos, no sport shorts.

We did the masterclass with Will and had the best time. The drinks were excellent but what made the difference was Will’s knowledge and charisma. He tailored our experience to our preferences and has fantastic stories behind each drink. It was also brilliant value. The masterclass was around the same price, if not better, than buying the drinks individually. Highly highly recommend.

Don’t even know where to start, we came into Homeboy yesterday after getting married in Islington town hall, from the second we walked in the door Aaron the owner treated us like old friends, and his exceptional Barman Jamie stepped straight up to the task of getting the bubbles out to celebrate, we were treated so well, it made our day and honestly cannot thank the guys enough! I didn’t get the chef or cocktail makers names but they were both incredible and literally waited on us hand and foot. Thank you so much guys, see you soon. Side note the Guiness, cocktails and food are INCREDIBLE!

Charging £13.50 for a cocktail advertised £12 on the menu. When challenged at the bar, the bartender said it was for "for service charge". So £1.50 for service. Also the cocktail is a small prosecco glass. I have put the glass for reference. Unbelievable and would not recommend. Understand it's London and things are expensive but this is taking the piss. I forgot to mention that the cocktail was pre-made in a dirty plastic bottle.
