Where this four-star property comes into its own for a Christmas party is its sheer variety of spaces for hire.

The most capacious are the hotel’s events suites, which were refurbished to the tune of £2m late last year. The Shannon Suite is where to book for sizeable standing affairs, or, if you’re catering to a food-first group, consider one of the hotel’s three restaurants. Our favourite is Bugis Street, which delivers an à la carte menu covering Singaporean, Malaysian, and Chinese cuisine for up to 40 seated guests. A handful more can then be added to the party for drinks over at the hotel’s colourful West 8 Cocktail Lounge and Bar, which opened in April 2015.

Astina on reception desk deserves 10 stars for her excellent service under pressure from a group of 500 that had arrived at the hotel. Although we had to wait about an hour for a room to be ready we were upgraded, and had superb views and a very comfortable room for our stay. Even an extra chair as requested. Breakfast staff were again superb with requests for gluten free toast promptly accepted and hot toast arrived within minutes. All round great stay, this our third visit to this hotel. Will be back in 2026 for annual trip to London.

Went with a large high school band group, so most of the logistics were taken care of. Decent rooms to crash in, fitness room, water bottle fill up, restaurant and bar attached. Plenty of shops around with an underground station down the block for easy access to the London area. Great breakfast, great service, & great value.

Just spent 2 nights here with Cosmos travel. Very good location. An early check in would have been nice since we got to London early however the front desk showed no sign of letting us check in before 3. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good. A very good shoutout to Gulzar for being so helpful. The furniture and rug in the lobby are completely worn out.

Good location Rooms generally looked very tired and in need if TLC. My first room looked like a care home reject, interconnecting door unlocked. If you want a bottle of water, you need to be in a club room. Levels 10 and above only. All other floors nothing. You don't qualify for water. Comfy bed Clean sheets Housekeeping was done promptly Air con worked, the fridge did not. (For your imaginary water!) No hairdryer, although the cradle was there. When requested, one was delivered. Breakfast good selection and plentiful.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in London. We booked this hotel over a year ago for a birthday celebration for my husband as we were doing London and Paris and we had 38 guests with us. There was so much wrong with the hotel from the rudeness of the staff to the discomfort of the rooms. One of our guest didn’t have a doorknob to the joining room and they could see in the room next door. When we reported the front desk clerk was extremely rude and said there was nothing they could do about it and the hotel was fully booked (which turned out to be a lie). My guest ended up just hearing it and put a towel in the door. We had another guest who had mold in the room and they ended up moving to another hotel. Another guest toilet didn’t work and it took 4 times for them to come and fix it. We also paid for a service to have our bags picked up on the day of departure at 6 am and that didn’t happen. I will be writing the corporate headquarters with more detailed examples of this very unfortunate stay. I don’t recommend this hotel if you want comfort and luxury. If you want a good location to walking for shopping and food it is really great (but again the staff, the rooms, and overall hotel were a disaster). We then moved along to Paris at the Pullman Eifel tower and it was a true 5 star and opposite if you need a comparison.
