Last week, I visited the Milestone Hotel for afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The tea room was small, intimate, and had a lovely atmosphere. What impressed us most was how well the kitchen catered to everyone's dietary requirements. One of our group has coeliac disease and was provided with a fantastic gluten-free afternoon tea. I'm pescatarian, so I was served a delicious selection of both fish and vegetarian sandwiches, while another member of our group is a fussy eater who prefers plain sandwiches without salad, and the team happily accommodated that too. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making the whole experience feel extra special. The food was outstanding, and my favourite was the butternut squash sandwich from the vegetarian selection. The scones were fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. We also loved the thoughtful Wimbledon-themed desserts, which added a fun and elegant seasonal touch to the afternoon tea. I would highly recommend afternoon tea at the Milestone Hotel and would love to return again in the future.
