About Venue
For more than 150 years, the Science Museum has been educating and entertaining visitors and has occupied its current building since 1928. Just as the progress of science is constantly advancing and expanding, so the Science Museum has expanded, continually updating and adding ever more exciting and dynamic exhibitions and venues. Even now, there is a masterplan to create a system of new galleries opening in 2013 and beyond.
Information Age is a fascinating space celebrating more than 200 years of innovation in information and communication technologies and is available for evening hire. Accommodating up to 400 guests, it is the perfect venue for standing drinks receptions.
Information Age is divided into six zones, each representing a different technology network. The gallery explores the important events that shaped the development of these networks, from the growth of the worldwide telegraph to the influence of mobile phones on our lives today.
Invite your guests to relive remarkable moments in history, told through the eyes of those who invented, operated or were affected by the new wave of technology, from the first BBC radio broadcast in 1922 to the dawn of digital TV. They can also see where Her Majesty The Queen sent her first Tweet, when she opened the gallery in 2014.

The Science Museum in London is truly amazing! If you believe in the power of science and admire its wonders, this place is a must-visit. Especially for children, it's both educational and incredibly fun. There are interactive exhibits, space technology displays, engineering marvels, and so much more. Your kids should absolutely see and experience it firsthand. I spent hours exploring and loved every moment — each floor offers a different world. A must for anyone who loves science.

The Science Museum is such a fun and interesting place to visit! There’s so much to see and do for all ages—from space rockets and historic inventions to hands-on experiments and interactive zones for kids. We don’t have anything like this in Toronto, so it was a real treat to explore. It’s free to enter (some exhibits cost extra), and you can easily spend hours here. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in London!

The Science Museum is definitely worth a visit! It's free to enter, but I recommend prebooking tickets online to avoid queues, especially during weekends or holidays. The museum is well organised, set in a large building with good facilities and plenty of space to explore. There’s a lot to see, from fascinating exhibits to hands-on activities and cinema experience and they also run organised events and cater to group visits. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The only downside was that some galleries were closed due to renovations, which was a bit disappointing as we were looking forward to seeing everything. Hopefully they’ll be fully open again soon. Still, a great day out for all ages!

Definitely worth a visit at least once! The museum has so many fascinating exhibits, so plan to spend plenty of time if you want to see everything. It’s a great place to learn about science—whether it’s how the human body works or the history of the steam train. Kids can explore, play, and learn in a very hands-on way, which makes it even more engaging. Not to mention that all staff was cool and friendly. There are dining areas and some lovely gift shops to enjoy as well. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, or directly at the entrance on the day of your visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✈️ 💊 🩺🩻🚀 The Science Museum is a fantastic place to spend the day! A true humbling experience of the world of science The exhibits are interactive, fun, and packed with fascinating information perfect for both kids and adults. I especially loved how hands on so many of the displays are; it makes learning feel exciting and engaging rather than just reading from a plaque. The museum covers such a wide range of topics, from space and engineering to medicine and technology, so there’s truly something for everyone. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and the layout makes it easy to explore without feeling overwhelmed. It’s inspiring to see science brought to life in such an accessible way. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or even solo, the Science Museum is an absolute must-visit.
