We had a truly wonderful time at this hotel. The entire team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Everything was flawless from start to finish. The hotel’s unique style — inspired by cinema, theatre and musical — is beautifully executed. The decor is tasteful, elegant, and full of character, creating a warm and charming atmosphere the moment you walk in. We also loved the thoughtful touches that made our stay even more special, including an upgrade to a suite and the delicious complimentary popcorn — a playful nod to the hotel’s cinematic world. These details really enhance the experience and show how attentive and dedicated the team is. The location is ideal, the service outstanding, and the overall ambience truly delightful. You can genuinely feel how committed the staff is to their guests’ well-being. A huge thank-you to everyone — we’ll be delighted to come back!

We returned home yesterday after 9 amazing days in London, where we stayed at the ibis Styles Southwark, near Borough Market. It was great fun! This hotel is simply wonderful and exciting. It has a unique design in both the rooms and public areas. Furniture that seems borrowed from the theatre’s stage, a vintage popcorn maker in the lobby and a basket of apples with a note for guests to enjoy, it all gives a feeling that we are experiencing something different than a standard hotel experience. We started each morning with a rich wonderful breakfast and ended it with stunning view of the Shard straight through our bedroom window, all lit up for Christmas. And yet, most importantly is the treatment of the staff: young, smiling, pleasant, who listen and help when needed. They gave us the feeling that they are doing their very best to make us feel at home and enjoy our visit. They make this hotel experience better than others. I loved the mornings, walking to Borough Market, London Bridge and its waterfront or to Leadenhall Market. The hotel is in close proximity (5-7 minutes walk) to the London Bridge tube station and a large bus hub where we hopped on a double decker and saw more of London above ground as we traveled to our destination. It was difficult to say goodbye and I’m certain we’ll be back.

A great value hotel with cool theming. This hotel is in a handy location with good tube links from London Bridge. When you walk into a hotel lobby and it smells great, you know you're onto a good start 😂. The room was comfortable and included a continental style breakfast that did the job. Only negatives: - They used to offer free coffee from a communal coffee station, but don't anymore. - The breakfast area is quite poorly laid out and doesn't cope very well during busy periods. So make sure you time it right to avoid the masses, else you might need to manoeuvre around one another a little bit.

Just came back from a trip to London and I wanted to share my experience after staying at the Ibis Styles in Southwark. I usually stay at ibis hotels whenever possible as the standard is matching my requirements. This time it was above and beyond: - Cleanliness: room pitch perfect, spotless - Staff: very friendly and helpful, both Front Office and Kitchen staff. Lovely people to have a chat with and definitely happy to show that they love you to be there - Ambiance: really unexpected, decorated with a lovely spooky theme but on top Christmassy vibes added through extra light and decorations. A pleasure to explore it, again not expected but just lovely - Food: Great! I visited the place with one family member and we were both delighted: great assortment of food, including gluten free and vegetarian options. Me I eat all so I enjoyed really tasty ham, bread, cheese, waffles, fruits, croissants and cakes. Again I want to underline the Taste. all good quality and perfectly done. I will not skip the coffee, Coffee was tasty and good quality!! Rare for a hotel these days to be honest. - Location: Great near the Thames River side and close to both the London Bridge and Waterloo Underground, walking time to Trafalgar Square 30 mins) We used Underground this time as it was fairly cold but in summer we prefer to just walk so a great place to be Overall a lovely experience thanks one more time to the Front Office and Kitchen Staff. Will be there soon for sure!

The location of the hotel is a little outside of the hustle and bustle of London proper. However, we enjoyed the quieter and more local feel of the area. The closest tube station is about a 10 minute walk and the river is just up the road. The breakfast offered is very good, but as the hotel got busier, the breakfast area was overwhelmed. All the staff members we encountered were professional and helpful. The room was not huge, but it was clean and functional. In the bathroom, you get 2 bath towels and one floor mat - no hand towel which is weird. And, the drain in the sink was super slow. We were there in the winter, so we appreciated the hot water but found the room temperature to be too hot and the thermostat didn't seem to work very well. It is just hard to come to terms with the cost of hotels in London. Although everything was fine with the hotel, we paid as you would expect to pay for a luxury 5-star hotel almost anywhere else. It's hard to use the term "good value" but I guess for London standards this is what you get.
