We hired the LRC for our wedding reception back in late August and my wife and I are incredibly happy with our choice. Firstly, the venue itself is set in a stunning location overlooking the Thames, with an outdoor terrace balcony that our guests absolutely loved and a great spot for photos. All the staff at LRC were incredibly hard working and did everything possible to make our reception as special as possible. A special mention to Suzanne who was incredibly attentive and organised and played a big part in making our reception a very memorable day.

We recently photographed a wedding at London Rowing Club and were completely blown away by this venue. From a photography perspective, it's an absolute gem. Set right on the Thames in Putney, the views from the balcony and ceremony space are some of the best we've seen in London. The Long Room is full of character – bright, spacious, and elegant, with subtle nods to its rowing heritage that add a real sense of charm and history. The layout works brilliantly for weddings. The transition from ceremony to drinks to dinner felt seamless for guests, and we loved how the mezzanine and balcony areas gave people space to mingle while the room was transformed. The Members Room was perfect for candid moments, with its darker tones and rich contrast making for beautiful documentary-style shots. We shot a mix of digital and film (35mm and medium format), and the venue suited black and white film especially well – think classy, timeless, and full of texture. Honestly, it felt like stepping into a vintage editorial shoot. Only thing to note: parking is tricky, so definitely advise couples and guests to use public transport or be cautious with where they leave their cars – don’t block the front or it might end up in the Thames! All in all, London Rowing Club is a fantastic choice for modern couples after a stylish riverside venue with genuine character. We’d be thrilled to shoot here again! – Gina & Jack, Ivy & Pine Photography

We chose the London Rowing Club in Putney after a long search for a wedding venue that felt like us. LRC hit all the right requirements with the ability to bring in our own choice of caterers, a well stocked bar, a beautiful main room and outside balcony with great views of the Thames. Annabel was very helpful in the lead up and planning process, and was super flexible in what we wanted to do. The team were brilliant on the day keeping everyone well topped up and making sure it all ran smoothly. We absolutely loved the unique space, as did our guests, and cannot recommend it enough as a wedding venue!
