As an African, I could barely eat any of their meals during my stay. A little effort to give some intercontinental dishes would have helped instead of sticking to English meals only. Overall, service was great. Rooms are excellent.

I just want to review my dinner experience. We are members, didn't use the hotel. We went on a Sunday night was very quiet. Somehow the atmosphere was not right The service was slow and indifferent, they didn't really care much or acknowledge My small plate starter was very good, belly pork However the mains a big disappointment The burger did not taste of anything and the mash and sausages well just another dish Is not a cheap place, you would think they could do better

The hotel looks and sounds very grand. To brighten a trip to the area for a funeral i booked me and dad in. Staff are fantastic but they are working with terrible facilities. NONE of the automatic doors work, the hotel is not accessible as advertised and the rooms were dated and basic. 4star rates but no water, no fridge, broken blind, awful smell from the toilet when flushed and very very lumpy basic beds. In the dining room three chairs have really damaged seats, we ended up moving as it was so uncomfy, the breakfast was nice but basic, everything is on the buffet, def not 4star. lovely to look at frim the front and back but we won't be back. i really can't compliment the staff enough though especially when working with the standards given.
