About Venue
Luxury at this five-star hotel comes with a degree of restraint that’s nicely exercised, for example, in the sleek art deco interior of the Mayfair Room, the largest of the hotel’s event spaces. This room can hold 200 for a reception or 120 theatre style. The light-filled Carlos Room holds up to 40 guests and can be used alone, or in conjunction with the Regency Room for cocktail receptions, intimate weddings and dinners. There are also three smart meeting rooms and the Sommelier’s Table, which is a private dining room that seats eight people and is stocked with more than 6,000 bottles of vintage wine.

These two rooms are among the most intimate and discreet meeting spaces at The Connaught. The two smaller Silver and Oak Rooms are able to accommodate up to 12 and four guests respectively, set against beautiful silver oak panelling. Their more modern size makes them perfect for board and business meetings, as well as private dining for smaller gatherings. Each enjoys natural daylight and windows overlooking the Garden of Illusion, designed by the multi-award winning Tom Stuart-Smith. The Silver Room connects via a door to the Oak Room, which can then become an ideal break-out space.

Had a lovely experience at the connaught for afternoon tea. All the staff were lovely. Thank you to florin for his great service, and a special shout out to Mohammad who surprised my twin sister and I with customised coffees, such a kind gesture!! Dede

I chose to stay at The Connaught on the recommendation of friends and for its famous English breakfast, and I was not disappointed. The hotel is stunning, but the staff make it truly exceptional — so welcoming and warm, they make you feel at home. My room was beautifully appointed with every detail considered, and the Mayfair location is unbeatable. I loved being able to walk straight to the nearby luxury shops. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Pedro provided great service and great personality, the lobby host was attentive and she delivered us straight to the main bar and we had a lovley evening. Our experience was attentive and timed perfectly, Maria in the other bar held a lovley conversation with me in the lobby. My companion who visited the ladies room felt the bathroom host really added to the experience as she ensured the stall and overall experience was 5 star

We came today to have lunch at the Jean Georges restaurant, as per my discussion with the restaurant staff at the reception she informed us that the tables outdoor are for walk-ins only, she informed us there will be a £60 minimum charge pp and were ok with that. Then she told us that we can have a lunch for 1 hr only because the table outdoor is reserved !! We got confused because first she informed us that they don’t do reservations for outdoor tables and she’s telling us to have only 1 hr. Anyway when we got to our table there were 3 additional empty tables, after 55 minutes of rushing us, we asked for another dessert, the manager came to us and asked us to leave because it’s been 1 hr already, when we told him that kindly don’t rush your guests and let us enjoy our lunch he said “that it was nice of him to give us a table” sorry but this is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable service from such restaurant and hotel. We are not having lunch for free it’s not a favor we paid £180 for a lunch that we did not enjoy. I don’t wish anyone experience this again

We had one of the worst dining experiences today at The Connaught Restaurant during lunch. The outdoor seating is supposed to be for walk-ins, not reservations, yet from the start, the staff acted as if they didn’t want us there. When we walked in and asked for an outdoor table, the waitress claimed there were no tables available — despite many empty ones in sight. After pausing, she reluctantly said she could give us a table but only for one hour and that we must spend £60 per person. It was clear she hoped we’d just leave. We agreed, and they seated us at a table with no shade on a very hot day, even though shaded tables were available. When I pointed this out, the waiter rudely said those tables were “for hotel guests,” contradicting the fact that outside tables are not reserved. After only one hour, without asking if we were finished, they brought the bill. We told them we still wanted dessert, but they insisted we move to the bar. We declined and asked the manager to remove the £25 service charge. He said he would — but only removed £2. When we questioned this, he suddenly claimed the minimum spend was £65 per person, not £60, contradicting what we were told earlier. Only after we argued did he agree to keep it at £60. His tone made it sound like they were doing us a favour by letting us dine there at all. After paying, another manager told us to leave because “guests were waiting” for our table — yet when we walked past 15 minutes later, nearly all outdoor tables were still empty. The entire experience felt dishonest, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. We left feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and completely unwelcome. For such a supposedly prestigious place, the attitude and treatment were shockingly poor. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
