About Venue

Tucked amongst the chic boutiques and intimate cafés of Shepherd Market, The Market Tavern is a city pub where every drink is poured with a generous serving of quirky personality.

Upstairs discover the boudoir-inspired décor of the Chesterfield Room, a nostalgic nod to a bygone era, when this quaint area of London was famous for brothels and bawdy tales. If only our walls could talk. They can't, so we'll share a few of our secrets instead.
Just a stones throw away from Green Park and Hyde park it is in a perfect location for any event.

If you are looking for a larger space then why not consider hiring the whole pub out for your occasion.

We can cater for up to 60 standing and 30 seated.

It has a private bar and toilets as well as a private entrance to make all your guests feel like VIPs.

We can offer a variety of layouts for meetings and with Wifi and a screen available this is the perfect space and differs from your average office location.

I had the joy of offering face painting at this amazing pub on Pride Day, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming, supportive, and full of great energy throughout the day. The food? Absolutely delicious – every bite was packed with flavor and clearly made with love. You can tell they really care about creating a fun, inclusive space for everyone. It was an honor to be part of such a vibrant celebration. Can't wait to visit again – both to eat and to celebrate more good times! 🥂💖

Not a bad place. Good location. Very lively if you come to drink and stand around socializing. I think we picked the wrong place to come for food. Absolutely awful! Who ordered the roast because that was the special and my wife had calamari. The sirloin roast was so tough I couldn't get a knife through it. Much less chew and swallow. The Yorkshire pudding taste like it was made 8 days ago. No sign of moisture. My wife's calamari was like chewing wood chips. Same thing, no moisture no flavor just crunchy. As much as I hate to I must say this is some of the worst food I've ever eaten. I think people come here mostly to drink. It can't be for the food. Service great, atmosphere great. I wish I'd known sooner we would have just come here and had a few beers. Money wasted.
