The lecturers here show a complete lack of respect. There is absolutely no need to shout because you’re angry, these are grown adults, most of them over the age of 50, your point can be made without raising your voice, it just makes you look mental. On one occasion I was 10 minutes late due to train delays, and a lecturer shouted at me in front of everyone. I can’t control delayed trains. I was then told to wake up earlier, which makes no sense, considering we do need 8 hours of sleep. What made it even worse was watching lecturers repeatedly single out a friend of mine who was struggling more than others. That kind of behaviour is disgusting. If someone needs extra help and support, it’s your responsibility to provide it, not belittle them or turn them into a target. Long story short, it’s embarrassing to see lecturers over the age of 50 behaving like toddlers. Do better. However, if you’d like to attend a college where you’re taught by some of the most egocentric, obnoxious lecturers you’ll ever come across, people who would rather spend their time gossiping than actually becoming good teachers, then by all means, go ahead and enrol here. Wasted years of my life here i’ll ever get back.
