About Venue
This historic venue was the first in the country to screen moving images after opening in 1896. As the ‘birthplace of British cinema’, it’s an obvious choice for screenings, but also lends itself to product launches, conferences and awards ceremonies. Recently refurbished in a modern art-deco style, there are options to host in the auditorium, plus the smaller bar and foyer for standing events. The bar is stocked with local craft beers and fine wines, and can offer snacks as well as tailored catering. While the venue’s curfew is 11pm, its central location close to Oxford Circus means there’s plenty of options for those wanting to keep the party going.

probably my favorite spot to catch a film in london, especially one of their unique screenings for older films! amazing staff, comfortable seats and affordable tickets for the monday-tuesday crowds specifically.

My first visit to this cinema and I was highly impressed. I attended the Italian film series promoted by the film magazine Little White Lies. The Regents street cinema is the oldest in London it still has a working organ and on my visit it was played before the film. The seating is very comfortable and has excellent site lines. I will definitely be making another visit in the near future
