Lunch set is alright. But too many sands in the mussels. Otherwise all good.

Decent food although nothing special. Mussels were cooked with a lot of bacon and butter, the flavour of which overtakes the mussels. Prawns didn't taste much. The raw materials used seems of mediocre quality. Quiet environment. Attentive staff.

Popped into Cecconi’s for a quick lunch date with my friend, as we always do when she has a short break — her studio’s just across the road. We had 45 minutes, so we sat outside and I went for the 3-course set menu. It wasn’t that busy, but service was a little slow. That said, our waiter was genuinely lovely, so no complaints there. The food, though, was disappointing. The prawns in the starter were cold, and the main — a spaghetti dish — was completely bland and lacked any real flavour. It honestly felt like a waste of a meal. We were running short on time, so ended up packing the dessert to go, but at that point I didn’t even feel like eating it. To be honest, I didn’t want to pay for that lunch at all. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.
