About Venue
Strongroom is an eclectic and very colourful, independently-owned bar and late night venue that also happens to be home to Shoreditch’s biggest beer garden.
Perfect for socially distanced drinks; we have over 30 tables for relaxing with friends in the open air in our huge, ivy covered courtyard, which is overlooked by iconic recording studios and music industry creative spaces.
We offer a personalised but laidback service. Run by a small and very close-knit team, the venue is an oasis within the chaos of east London.
Overlooking Rivington Street, this bar can be hired independently or as part of a full venue hire. A light and airy space with exposed brick work and decorated with a mixture of Jamie Reid style artwork and analogue recording equipment. It has its own entrance, soundsystem, bar and bathrooms and can be made fully private from the rest of the venue.
Optional projector, screen, sound and microphone.
Perfect for parties, receptions, conferences, product launches and team building days.
Maximum capacity 120.

Went to SXSW for a live show where Lila Ike, Runcus and other Reggae artists were performing! Didn't eat just had drinks at the bar. Great atmosphere.

Great bar with a large outside courtyard. Range of interesting drinks from different breweries. Saw Newton Faulkner perform too. Amazing.

I went here because our unit held its party here. We had an area reserved for us The staff checks on us all the time. Ambience was great. Left out a star coz our food came out one hour late and while getting our drinks, some staff just looked like they cba. (I mean, I know everyone has their long work hours so but we gotta pull through somehow coz it reflects on the service). Overall, would recommend this place for both hanging out and special events.

The venue has a pleasant atmosphere, with ample outdoor seating and a spacious layout. However, it was clearly understaffed during our visit on a busy Thursday evening. The bar was overwhelmed, resulting in excessively long queues for drinks. I ordered sweet potato fries, which took 35 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, they were cold and soggy by the time they reached the table. To make matters worse, the server appeared visibly frustrated—understandably so, given the apparent strain on the staff. Upon arrival, we also had an unpleasant encounter with security. One of the staff members, Natalie, deliberately pushed my friend and then rudely instructed her to remove her bag from the table, even though she was in the process of opening it for inspection. When my friend explained she hadn’t seen the sign, she was denied entry. Security then told her to leave the premises entirely, stating that it was their workplace and they had decided she would not be allowed in. The behaviour was unnecessarily aggressive and authoritarian, casting a shadow over the entire evening.

I’ve played tennis matches and pushed myself at the gym, but I don’t think I’ve ever sweated this much. There was no fresh air and the AC just couldn’t keep up—whatever this was… it definitely won!
