The Empress is hands down one of my favourite pubs… it’s the perfect mix of relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. I love that it’s dog friendly, my dog absolutely loves coming here and always gets so much attention from the lovely staff and regulars. The food is incredible every single time. I always go for the steak, it’s cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and easily one of the best around. And I can never resist one of their Bloody Marys! They make them just right, perfectly balanced and packed with flavour. The atmosphere is always spot on, whether it’s a lazy afternoon or a busy evening. It feels like a proper local gem, friendly faces, great service, and a lovely buzz.

The food is ok. They have reduced the portion size & reduced the Monday deal offer but, without doubt, the do the best Eton Mess.

If you want a BEAUTIFUL sunday roast and INCREDIBLE service you MUST come here. Probably the best roast in all of London. Every inch of the plate was incredible and really generous portion for the price! Most notable was Oliver, he was so attentive not just to us but to all guests. Was able to make bespoke and delicious mocktails, he listened to what we were looking for and magicked it into existence! The atmosphere was also so cozy and lovely, as the suns light dwindled, the candles were lit one by one, making it feel super intimate despite the many lively conversations happening all around! 10/10!!!!!
