The service was exceptional. The concierge, doorman and security were not only friendly, but super helpful. When I looked lost due to the Tube Strike and wanted to call my restaurant to notify them I wouldn’t make my reservation as my Uber driver wouldn’t make it in time, the doorman immediately left to find a black cab which came quickly, and the concierge called our restaurant and had them hold our table - even though with the Strike traffic it took us 2 hours to get there (it usually takes 23 min). Our bags were taken care of quickly and easily, both when we arrived and were leaving. Everyone was so helpful. My parents were in another room and when their water flow of their sink wasn’t great, a repair man came immediately and fixed it. The room itself was humble but fine. The shower was a little tough to figure out. The step into the tub was a little high for a short person like me, but fine with taking your time. Breakfast food included in your stay was fine, they had a full English breakfast and more (chicken sausage, bacon similar to USA southern country ham, eggs, potato hash, beans, oatmeal, cereal, juice, make your own coffee machine, salad and fruit bar), various pastries (mini pan chocolate and croissants). Not gourmet but a good hotel breakfast. While there is a menu at the breakfast tables, it is a self service buffet and people seat you but there weren’t servers when we were there. The location is great. Right next to delicious spots and easy walking distance to museums and Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Of course, if the Tube was running, there’s a station right there; along with the hop on hop off buses.

Very nice hotel. Staff has been wonderful. In London during the tube strike, and staff was extremely helpful in arranging car service for us as well as providing box breakfasts for a day with an early start. The area is beautiful. Highly recommend this location!

The room has been great, bed made and fresh towels every day. Breakfast food is good quality and tastes great. The staff has been helpful with getting a hair dryer, parking for the rental car. This location is right by the Gloucester tube station, so it's very convenient to get around London. We feel good about our choice to stay here. It came highly recommended by a friend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Millennium Hotel on Gloucester Road for two nights to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday, and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. We were generously upgraded to a stunning suite, complete with two beautiful bathrooms, a spacious living area, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The attention to detail was impeccable. As it was a special occasion, we were touched to find the suite thoughtfully decorated, with a handwritten card and a gorgeous cake awaiting us on arrival — such a beautiful and personal gesture. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, on our second night, we were surprised once again with a complimentary bottle of wine and a birthday dessert. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality and care. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities throughout the hotel were fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast each morning — a great variety and absolutely delicious. A huge thank you to the entire team — from the warm and helpful concierge to the lovely maids who serviced our room with a smile. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and made us feel truly welcome. Without a doubt, we will be returning. This hotel is a gem in the heart of London.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We were given the wrong information about parking before arrival, only for the staff to completely deny it when we checked in. They refused to take any responsibility and left me with no option but to pay nearly £200 for parking. On top of that, the arrangements for my two-year-old daughter were appalling. We were given a cot without a mattress. When I complained, reception simply said there was nothing they could do as all sofa-bed rooms were booked. I asked for a floor mattress, they refused. I even asked for a duvet so she could at least sleep on top of it, they said none were available. My toddler ended up sleeping on bed sheets on the floor, which was horrible and completely unacceptable. The night itself was unbearable. Around midnight, doors were slamming constantly and people were shouting and screaming in the corridors, clearly drunk. It was impossible to sleep, and I had work the following morning. Even basic service was unreliable. I requested a laundry bag from room service, was told it would be brought up, and no one ever showed. This hotel does not care about its guests’ comfort or well-being. Between the misinformation, the way complaints were handled, the lack of proper facilities for children, and the appalling noise, this stay was a complete disaster. I would never stay at a Millennium hotel again and strongly advise others to avoid it.
