About Venue
Cigalon is a French restaurant based on Chancery Lane serving authentic Provençal cuisine. Nestled above Baranis, Cigalon is housed in the same magnificent building on Chancery Lane which was once Hodgson’s Auction House and more recently, Hodgson’s Wine Bar. The restaurant is based just off form The Strand and is within walking distance of Covent Garden, Theatre-land and The City of London. Cigalon takes its name after the eponymous hero – a chef – in Marcel Pagnol’s 1935 film of the same name.
Cigalon serves authentic Provencal cuisine inspired by the beautiful flavours of the South of France.

To secure the booking we will need a down payment of half the minimum spend in the 10 working days of your enquiry otherwise it will be cancelled. For cancellations we ask for a minimum of 5 weeks prior to the booking, otherwise we require the initial down payment as forfeit.

Had such a pleasant experience at Cigalon last night. The environment is beautiful, low light and soft music that made me feel like I was close by the sea. Food is uniquely tasty, bold in flavour and presentation. Would definitely come back again.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at this restaurant. From the starter to the dessert, everything was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Starter - A light and flavorful ricotta cream, perfectly seasoned with a smooth texture — a great way to start the meal. Main course - The rabbit leg was simply impeccable — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Cooked to perfection and paired with sides that complemented it wonderfully. Dessert - Truly spectacular! A perfect finale, balancing sweetness, texture, and presentation masterfully. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service attentive, and the kitchen genuinely impressive. Highly recommended!
