Stopped by The Hydrant for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The place has a bright, spacious interior with lots of character — festive decorations, a long bar full of taps, and a relaxed vibe that makes it an easy place to settle in. I ordered the haddock finger sandwich and a black Americano. The sandwich was nicely done: crispy fish, fresh bread, and a good amount of tartare sauce. The chips were thick-cut and satisfying. Coffee was straightforward and served piping hot. Prices are reasonable for central London and the staff were friendly and efficient. Great location right by Monument, perfect for a casual lunch, a drink, or a quick stop while exploring the area. Would happily visit again.

Excellent spot near the Monument / London Bridge (and Monument station) with great fish and chips. The mushy peas were the best I've had (hint of mint?). Friendly and welcoming service, quirky decor and would go again to try other items on the menu and the after 6pm offer!

Very very good service. 3 stars on the food because we ordered two things from the menu and they ran out both things. We stayed because the place was very nice with good lighting and atmosphere. But it’s disappointing when you order and they don’t have what you wanted. Anyways. The waitress was super nice and the drinks were very refreshing. Thank you!

Comfortable bar next to monument station. Prices around average for the area. Staff were friendly. Guinness not great.

The food was delicious. It was fairly quiet when I went which I am grateful for. So, I was able to join a meeting and do a presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak.
