Carlton Mitre Hotel, Library

We arrived to smiling aces on reception and car parking attendant. We were early so made use of the comfortable sofas and chairs in reception and a glass of white wine on the house. Some of our luggage was taken up to our room. Once in our room we were able to unpack and enjoy the space it gave us. Super king bed and full bathroom. French doors out to a garden patio full of plants and easy sofas and chairs and a fountain. The service was excellent, professional but friendly. The location right on the banks of the Thames with outside dining on different levels. Peaceful watching the swans pass by. A beautiful location and for us, our daughters wedding it was perfect.

We stayed for two nights as part of a wedding party. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. Blaze helped us to park and took our luggage to the room. Lovely, big comfy bed (and pillows). We were in ‘The Potting Shed’, which had doors opening onto a small courtyard. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with fantastic views of the river and bridge. The rest of the staff were just as friendly and helpful as Blaze. We didn’t get all the names but Rene in the bar and Andrew in particular were superb. We loved it so much we are looking to book a return trip.

Amazing. The location, the service, everything! We were so comfortable & nothing was too much trouble for the team. Everyone genuinely looks happy to be working at The Mitre, and so by extension, this makes your stay comfortable and a genuine experience. The hotel is dog friendly too, which is a bonus. Being able to walk across the street & experience Hampton Court Palace is amazing too, and our tickets were included in our stay because we booked direct (with ease) online. I adored everything about The Mitre & highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
