What a fantastic place to stay in London! All of the staff are so kind and helpful, and made us feel right at home during our visit. The rooms are also very clean! I can’t recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful long weekend at La Gaffe, good location close to the tube station, lovely and quiet neighbourhood, decent and spacious rooms, warm welcome by Lorenzo and his staff. Good value for money, and a peaceful place to come after a busy day in the center of London. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

It is a cute place, the owners were very sweet and attentive. The breakfast was good! The room was tiny, but clean, it had everything, and considering it is such a posh neighbourhood, it was nice to have such a nice room for a good price

I spent 3 nights here on my first time in London and found it a great hotel to settle in and experience the city. The hotel manager and staff are excellent - their morning coffee is quite strong which I like. While the walls are thin, the rooms do come with earplugs. The best thing about this hotel is that you get to experience London without the business of downtown. This is also a great base to learn how to navigate the tube and transit, especially if you are going downtown. The neighborhood is also excellent and quiet. I highly recommend La Gaffe if you are looking for an alternative location outside of London’s downtown.

Superb Egg-Friendly™ Accommodation in a magical part of London. I had a 3 night stay here in November 2025 whist volunteering at Excel for Sadhguru. A very warm welcome from Lorenzo room was warm and comfortable nice shower no noise during the night, slept very well and managed to cross London to be at Excel docklands for 7am Saturday morning very easy commute from the hotel. Excellent service and friendliness from the lady in the restaurant (please forgive me didn't get her name) that has worked there many years, and delicious continental breakfast with one of Lorenzo's famous coffees. So much to see around here. Walk up to the Spaniards Inn, down to Keats house, Japanese restaurant Jin Kichi same side as La Gaffe near tube was amazing remember to book. Walk around in the evening up to Hollybush pub and Admirals house have a drink in the the Duke of Hamilton pub where Peter O'Toole, Oliver Reed and Richard Burton used to frequent. I have booked here again to bring my children next December we will go into the West End but Hampstead is such a great place to relax will spend lots of time there, taking advantage of Lorenzo and team's excellent hospitality. Delighted Lorenzo didn't charge me any extra for my fried egg, Colin who has impeccable manners and is fully house-trained and really enjoyed himself too. Many Thanks and much appreciated.
