Stayed here with a really large group - some rooms were better than others but overall this is a great spot! Amazing service, great Indian food onsite, good location. I would stay there again. The only downside were the stairs on the way up to the hotel - not great for big bags, strollers or people with disabilities. I'm sure there's another entrance but worth noting if you're worried about that.

Heartfelt Gratitude for Your Exceptional Service Dear Team at Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your outstanding assistance in recovering my cherished traditional costumes, which I had unfortunately left behind in my room during my recent stay. Your dedication and professionalism truly exceeded my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful. I would especially like to extend my sincere thanks to Sathya and the entire reception team for their tireless efforts in resolving this matter. Their kindness, efficiency, and attention to detail made all the difference, and I am truly touched by their willingness to go above and beyond to help me. Moreover, I must commend your hotel for its exceptional environment. The ambiance is both elegant and welcoming, making my stay a truly memorable experience. The professionalism and warmth of your front desk staff further enhanced my impression of your hotel, and it is clear that you prioritize excellence in hospitality. Thank you once again for your incredible service and for making such a positive impact on my experience. I will not hesitate to choose Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid for future stays and will highly recommend it to others. Warm regards, Room 306

The Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid offers a refined and peaceful stay right in the heart of Westminster. The location is truly exceptional — just a short walk from major landmarks like Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, and Westminster Abbey, yet tucked away enough to guarantee quiet evenings and restful nights. The hotel itself is stylish and well-maintained, with a classic charm and modern touches. My room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The staff were courteous and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. Everything — from check-in to check-out — was smooth and efficient. Whether you’re in London for business or leisure, the Wellington is a wonderful base: calm, elegant, and incredibly well located.

Front desk staff was friendly and was able to get us into our room early. The room was good. My main issue is that the heat/AC is centrally controlled, so you are not able to adjust the temperature. We had it set at 19 C and it was more like 25-26C. Weirdly they only gave us one washcloth for 2 people. Thought it was an accident but they did it again the next day. Just very odd. Breakfast is alright. I wouldn’t call it a luxury hotel but it isn’t a bad place to stay. Nice location.

Tough to rate our stay! Good and bad. We had a nightmare booking the room over the phone because we had a discount that they didn't want to honour. The staff in the hotel itself were all really lovely. The downside was that if you want to speak to reception you'd be waiting a while because it's always full (quite a small, cramped space for queuing as well). You can't access the gym without a special card which you have to refresh each day and can only get from reception, so that was extra waiting, though once the nice chap on concierge just walked down with me and let me in. Our room was quite small and the furniture was pretty old and tired. The mattresses were comfy though. The bathroom products are nice. The USB ports don't work but I've yet to find a hotel where they do. The real downer is the breakfast. It's a small room and a small area for a buffet, so it's a crowded free for all. There doesn't seem to be a system to replace food, so every morning there were at least 3 items (bread, pastries, hash browns, eggs, orange juice etc.) that would have run out. Two mornings there were no plates or bowls at all. It's hard to argue with the location, though. And the staff were always polite.
