About Venue
ABode Manchester is set in the heart of the cosmopolitan city, only a few minutes walk from Piccadilly train station and a short stroll from the main shopping areas. Originally a 19th century textile factory, Victorian architecture blends with 21st century luxury and a relaxed, sophisticated dining experience.
Built in the 19th century as a textile factory by the influential Mancunian architect Charles Heathcote, the building was completed in 1899 in a distinctive Jacobean-Baroque style. It was originally used as a packing warehouse and showroom with offices for cotton manufacturer Sparrow Hardwick & Company. Incorporating the ABode collection’s trademark Comfortable, Desirable, Enviable and Fabulous room categories, each of the 61 guestrooms offers a distinct style with quality and comfort at their core and a luxurious bed and the clean lines of a contemporary ensuite bathroom as standard.
Brasserie Abode offers a relaxed, all day venue, in the style of a grand European brasserie and bar. Guests can enjoy brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails and the all-day menu features plats du jour with a comfortingly, nostalgic nod and time-honoured classics alongside a great value Prix Fixe menu.
ABode Manchester is available for exclusive hire for weddings and celebrations and has two function rooms available to seat up to 30.

Hotel with a lot of character. You can tell thought went into the designs in the rooms but they aren’t necessarily maintained that well as the furniture is scuffed and worn out. Very high ceilings with detailed design and very large windows. Rooms are super spacious! Great location to the train station and bus stops. They also provided fans in the room which we found to be great to help keep the room cool.

Exceptional hotel in the city centre, minutes from Piccadilly railway station. Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, with brand-new furniture and fresh, high-quality linen. The room was warm and comfortable - a perfect place to relax after a day in the city.

The reception staff here are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, really welcoming, efficient and accommodating. The room was clean, great housekeeping team doing clean towels and bed making every day. Rooms a little worn around the edges (could do with a re-decorate).

Stayed recently whilst in Manchester for a long weekend. A beautiful old building and friendly staff. The decor was a bit tired in places but still fit for purpose and the bathroom was lovely and the bed was comfortable! Its also a great location ! My only negative was the noise. I expected noise being in the city centre but I could everything outside, next doors 'bedroom excitement' , upstairs tap dancing and every time someone closed their door (likely due to the self closer making its slam). I'd happily stay again but constructively, management need to review how to mitigate some of the noise.

Omar at the front desk & the housekeeping team were excellent. Their service truly matched the hotel's high standards. Unfortunately, other staff interactions left a bad taste: passive-aggressive behaviour, being hung up on, and unaddressed delays. As a former hospitality worker & being as graceful as possible because of this, I know these issues were avoidable & poorly handled. A great stay in parts, but too inconsistent to confidently rebook.
