Q: What’s included in the venue hire price?

The Olive Tree is a semi-private area centred around our signature olive tree, with one or multiple tables reserved for your group (up to 122). There’s no room-hire fee, reservation is via a minimum spend and you’ll have full table service in this atmospheric, fairy-lit setting.

Q: Does the venue provide catering, or can I bring my own food and drinks?

All food and drink are provided by Gusto, with Italian menus served à la carte, family-style feasts, or pre-selected sets. External catering isn’t allowed, though celebration cakes may be brought in.

Q: Can I decorate or brand the venue for my event?

Light décor such as balloons, place cards, and favours is welcome. As the space is within the open restaurant, large installations that block sightlines aren’t suitable unless you’ve hired the full venue.

Q: Is the venue accessible, and does it have parking or nearby transport links?

The Olive Tree area is on the ground floor with step-free access. There’s no on-site parking on Deansgate; nearby NCPs and Deansgate rail/Metrolink stops are a short walk.

Q: What is the venue’s pricing structure e.g. minimum spend, dry hire, or package options?

Reservations are based on a minimum spend, varying by day and time, often from a few hundred pounds on weeknights. There’s no separate hire fee.

We had a great time in Gusto Manchester, it was my first time there, went for a lunch with my colleagues, and absolutely enjoyed the food, how it looked, how it tasted, everything! The desserts were great too (had the tiramisu, of course) Nick, our waiter, was lovely, very attentive and full of good humour! Will definitely visit again.

Went on Friday afternoon about 4pm so was fairly quiet. However the food and service was fantastic! We had a starter followed by a pasta dish for my wife and a pizza for myself. Both were lovely and tasty. Only had one drink each but they seemed quite reasonably priced . Will definitely go again. Highly recommended

Visited as part of a large group and, unfortunately, the service was slower than expected. There was quite a long wait for our order to be taken, followed by an even longer wait for the food to arrive. Considering the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, it felt like things should have moved a bit quicker. The seating wasn’t very comfortable, and the restaurant itself was noticeably cold, which didn’t help the overall experience. That said, it wasn’t a terrible visit — just not as smooth or as comfortable as it should’ve been. With a few improvements to service speed and comfort, it could be much better. A bit pricey for what it was to be fair
