June 2025We had another great stay at The Lowry Hotel made even better this time as we were able to book one of their dog friendly rooms & travelled with our two pups This is a true 5 star hotel, with a very professional, welcoming & friendly team The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean with great quality bedding & towels, we always have a very comfortable night here The pups were spoiled with a lovely gift box left in the room, which included fresh baked dog treats, a toy & a collar tag, poop bags & and map of local dog walks The two dog beds in the room were great, so clean & obviously very comfortable as one of our pups would not get out of it in the morning It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the specially allocated dog friendly Rooms, they only have a couple of these rooms so better to book sooner rather than later The Concierge team are exceptional in this hotel, Mo & Luke are extremely knowledgeable & helpful The location is great, peaceful but only a very short stroll to the centre, bars & restaurant This is our go to hotel in Manchester with or without

June 2025A fabulous hotel with great friendly staff especially Geena. We stayed on the Bank holiday weekend in May and even though it was busy, everyone give us great service. 5 star Breakfast & the Ladies who served us were all very pleasant.Great location. We definitely would go back!! 😊

May 2025One of, if not, the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived I was treated amazingly. Mo from concierge immediately came to help me with my bags, and would have worked my car if I hadn’t done myself already. The room, which Mo took my bags up to, was HUGE, and immaculate. The bed was, I think, 2 double bed put together, and the quilt was luxury. The bathroom was fine (could have been a kit but more fabulous I suppose, but I was in an executive room and not a suite), and the walk in wardrobe was brilliant. I loved the restaurant and bar for lunch, and breakfast the following morning was too-notch. I will never stay in another hotel in Manchester again!

June 2025I was so incredibly disappointed on arrival to discover that this is a 'dry spa'. I feel this could be made clearer on the website especially when the a 'spa' is listed in the hotel amenities. On a positive note the staff were exceptional, particularly the bar and restaurant. The room looked beautiful, I did find the bed far too soft for me personally and the shower water pressure left to be desired. My main issue was the air con which was very loud (and I'm partially deaf), and there were no opening windows so options to control temperature were limited. I was really disappointed with my stay, to the point that I left in the morning without waiting for my massage appointment.

April 2025The Lowry Hotel claims to be a 5-star establishment, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t reflect that level of luxury. While the customer service was good, the overall stay felt more like a budget hotel, with many missing amenities that one would expect from a true 5-star experience. First, the room lacked basic essentials such as disposable toothbrushes, a comb, and even a pen. The fridge was locked, meaning there was no place to store personal items, which was quite inconvenient. All toiletries were bolted to the wall, giving it more of a Premier Inn feel rather than a high-end hotel. Additionally, there were no complimentary teas or biscuits, which are small but expected touches in a premium hotel. The overall facilities were disappointing—there was no proper seating area in the reception or any communal space to relax before check-in or after check-out. It felt unwelcoming and impractical for guests arriving early or waiting for transport. Breakfast was another letdown. The buffet spread was extremely small and basic, and they kept running out of plates, which was quite embarrassing for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Overall, while the staff were polite and helpful, everything needed to be requested rather than being readily available. For a hotel that brands itself as 5-star, it falls far short of expectations and feels more like a budget hotel with decent service. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a true luxury experience in Manchester.
