Lovely hotel, with free use of the gym and swimming pool. Food was fantastic both the evening meal and breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely comfortable rooms

The hotel is in a good spot if you need easy access to Middlesbrough and the staff were really friendly and lovely. The room itself, however, lacked any AC or mini fridge with a £6 charge for anything brought to your room. Didn't try any of their food but I know they do have a restaurant on site. The water wasn't running down the sink properly and there was loads of banging on the wall at 4am shaking the whole wall. We wouldn't be returning or recommending it to others.

POSITIVES They serve nice fruits, grilled mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, eggs for breakfast. Waitresses and waiters in the restaurant are kind and hard working, and also cleaning ladies are kind and polite. The pool, the gym, the sauna is nice. Rooms are well furnished, even with a desk if You work from Your room. There is bathtub in the bathroom. NEGATIVES Sheets are barely changed. My partner was there for 3 weeks, I accompany him for a few days, and they changed the sheets once, 2 days before he left 🥺 Rooms are not cleaned 1-2 days per week, they are just left as they are. There is no transparency when will they clean Your room, it can happen from 10 till 15 anytime, so staying in the room during the day is not as comfortable. In the restaurant walnuts for breakfast is spoiled, rancid nearly rotten, and even You ask for change it 2 times (once in the restaurant once at the reception) it never happened. They serve the same at Your table, after You asked for change it 🥺 They don't serve any fresh vegetables for breakfast, but many unhealthy things (processed meat, baked goods full of additives, cereals which contains a lot of sugar and additives etc). Smooties are good, but it was barely available. And there is no clear rules if You can get bottled water for free in Your room or not. Some staff give, and some not, so it is confusing.

Rooms are bog standard. £168 got us a "superior" room, ive honestly stayed in better travel lodge rooms, apparently what made the room 'superior was because we had a bottle of water, pack of biscuits and air con ! The pool is absolutely tiny and half of it closed of on a Saturday for kids swimming lessons ! On a positive note, the breakfast was beautiful, lots of options. Otherwise, I don't recommend at all and certainly NOT for the money charged.
