Why Choose The Shropshire over any other venue?
Firstly location. Set in rolling Shropshire countryside away from the hustle and bustle of a town centre location, The Farmhouse offers stunning views across green fields from not only the main room itself but also from its secluded and private gardens. Not only does the building itself benefit from these views, being based at a golf complex, there is also 250 acres of stunning golf course with incredible views of the welsh hills, the longmynd & Lilleshall Monument in the distance awarding us as one of the most photogenic venues in the area. We will ensure you have a chauffeur driven golf buggy to take you around the site to capture these stunning backdrops in your all-important pictures.
The Venue Itself. The Farmhouse dates back to 1818 when the entire complex was originally Granville Farm. Converted in the 1990’s The Farmhouse has beautiful exposed beams and chandeliers, a real oldie worldly feel to it. Wedding couples love the fact it’s not just a box shaped room and has a separate Library Bar and Snug. The Farmhouse has recently enjoyed a complete refurbishment with brand new carpets, curtains, toilets and a purpose-built dance floor to give it a fresh and bright new look, whilst ensuring the character of the building is maintained.
We also have our beautiful NEW Marquee is a permanent structure featuring its own bar, dance floor and mood lighting. The Marquee was officially opened in October 2014 and is the  perfect wedding venue for brides-to-be. This beautiful room is fully draped in ivory lining and has chandeliers to create a sophisticated look. It also has thermostatic heating and windows looking out onto a stunning patio area for your guests to enjoy. The Marquee can hold up to 160 for a sit down meal and 200 for an evening reception.
Flexibility. We can guarantee that no other venue is as flexible as us when it comes to pricing and packages. We offer last minute wedding packages, bespoke packages, along with our very popular “All Inclusive” package which takes the stresses and strains out of organising such a key event in your lives. There are no hidden charges or prices with us, what you see, is what you pay for. We offer complete flexibility on menus where guests can, if they wish, choose from a selection of starters, mains and desserts at no extra cost.
Privacy. We know how important it is for you to have privacy on your wedding day, therefore you will have exclusive use of The Farmhouse and Marquee for your entire day with us, which is completely separate to the main golf complex and includes a private entrance, private car park, private Courtyard and private Library bar.
Size. The Farmhouse can be structured to accommodate various sizes of parties with room for up to 150 guests for a buffet, or 90 for a sit down meal. The room shape can easily create intimacy or grandeur for a large event.
