I like this pub. I've been here a few times, but only during the day, so it's always been pretty quiet. The bar staff are friendly. It's got a quirky layout whereby the two sides of the bar are connected by a low hatch in a screen partition. The garden out back is big, with a good number of seats and tables, and it gets plenty of sun in the daytime.

This is neighbourhood gem for the area. Great service, really friendly and has different vibe depending on time/day of visit. Enjoyed whittling away an afternoon in the beer garden watching the tennis in peace and quiet. I have been here with a large group of friends on a Sunday to celebrate a birthday and it was vibrant. It does cost a little more than maybe one/two other pubs in the area, but if that's going into the quality of staff, the food, keeping the place clean/garden maintained, being able to watch the football/tennis/comedy, I think it's well worth it!

Food seasoned and cooked well, but extremely expensive. Schnitzel was £17.50 (£5 extra for chips) and the portion was for the price in my opinion far too small (see photographed). Pub was virtually empty and had to wait 40 minutes for the food also. Are local but will not be returning as left feeling ripped off.
