Fab experience from such a modestly priced room. Special little extras like a fan in the room switched on for our arrival as it was a very warm day. Everything clean and comfy. Reception staff polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

it was ok. everything is very clean and the reception area and service was good, but then the walk to our room was described as down the corridor and to the left. he failed to mention the fact it was a further excursion from there through the basement and various stairs. so 10 minutes later we are met with this tiny outdated room. it felt like we were very much shoved out of the way of the venue’s events and i didn’t like being so far away from the door. an offer of breakfast would’ve also been nice but it probably would have finished by the time we walked there. the bed was awful and was far too firm and only one pillow each was a bit stingy. i also think a path would be useful as we had to walk along the road to get the the further carpark as the wedding party filled the main carpark. i really liked the location as it’s easy to get into town with a bus stop right outside, as well as a mcdonalds directly over the road.

I stayed for one night last night for work. The staff were lovely. The room was very out dated, and dark. The only lights in the room were lamps next to the bed. All of the plug sockets were weird and couldnt even use a phone charger. The bed was uncomfortable. The food was awful, I had the gosforth burger, took a long time to come out, no coleslaw om the plate like the menu said. When I bit into the burger, all I got was a mouthful of greese and fat. The chips weren’t cooked very well. But the staff behind the bar were amazing (unfortunately didn’t catch their names). Could be a nice place with abit of an update to decor and better food. £14 for a burger i couldnt eat because the bun was soaked in grease.

We went up to the hotel this weekend, was our 6th wedding anniversary so I wanted to make it something special. I had pre booked an early check in for 1 o’clock through the customer service team and the breakfast. When we got to the hotel for 1320 we were told that early check ins aren’t guaranteed so was a bit frustrated. We were then told to go back in an hour and the room would be ready! Which would be 1430!!! Not 1500!! The jacuzzi wasn’t working which we still had to pay £7.50 each to use the sauna, steam room and plunge pool. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so went across the road to the falcons nest which was so good(recommended). The plugs are weird so you can’t really charge anything, our bathrooms were loose but enjoyed the break away. Don’t think we’ll be choosing the venue again. Was more upset about the check in situation.

Super beware of this accomodation. Don't get me wrong the hotel is nice, the main areas and leisure are brilliant. But beware the rooms and descriptions, pay special attention. I looked at the rooms on the website and then booked the available double. Turns out it is a tiny box of a room which is down a kind of service corridor. Easily the worst room I have stayed in. I clearly missed that it lacks windows. Add to this it is advertised at 228ft, in reality this is simply untrue, I am not exaggerating when I say it is less than 90ft! Seriously do look at the small print. It was very disappointing.
