Tried out the new vue. Staff was lovely. The cinema was quite warm inside. The seats are claimed to be reclined, but you just have to push it back with your legs supporting it. So it’s not really reclined. So if you’re short you can’t really lean back - it was very uncomfortable to sit at. The ice blast was almost watered down, it was melting. The actual film / picture / sound quality was nice - we watched the new Jurassic World Rebirth.

I was excited to visit Vue after Cineworld closed, and the marketing around the new and improved screens and 'VIP' seats raised expectations. It's also very useful to be able to get a refund for your tickets if you buy them online - and they're cheaper online too. The interior looks a lot more modern than before with a few more food and drink options (although they STILL do not have milk to make ice cream milkshakes - they had the exact same problem when it was a Cineworld!), and they've put in a seating area with enough room for prams and wheelchairs. However, overall, that's where the improvements stop in my opinion. In light of people using streaming services more, they've chosen to reduce the number of seats and improve them, making it more spacious than before. The 'VIP' seats they were referring to are faux-leather seats with a recliner. I think it's a nice touch, but its a manual recliner so you have to physically recline your body to lay back and since there isn't a foot rest, it's feels awkward to use. The seats have a strange curve that works well if you recline, but if you choose to sit upright, it's very uncomfortable. Overall, the seats seem worse and to be honest, it was difficult to sit throughout the whole film as I kept having to shift my position to be more comfortable. The screen doesn't look much better, despite the laser projection, and the room itself was very warm (but this could be due to the heat). Overall, I think I'll go back to the Arc in Beeston instead of coming back here again anytime soon as it's a much better experience for a similar price.

I’ll give them another go if they get their issues sorted but when I went on Saturday it was so uncomfortably hot, no air circulation at all, let alone air con. Toilets are still poor, with doors locks hanging off and wobbly seats. Chairs are more spacious but also somehow less comfortable with this odd recline you have to push with your back but no rest for your feet

Went to the cinema yesterday really looking forward to an Ice Blast — but sadly, it was neither iced nor a blast. The machine wasn’t frozen, the price was higher than advertised on the VUE website, and after waiting around 10 minutes while staff checked machines and offered no real solution, I ended up just asking for a refund. For a new and supposedly exciting cinema, the customer service and facilities were seriously underwhelming. Not cool — in any sense of the word.

My film was cancelled today due to ac not working. My tickets was sky codes which run out tomorrow, so wasn't given a refund. I wasted bus fair going there. I went on the live chat on their website only to be told my codes will only last till the end of June (tomorrow) I asked if they could be extended to next weekend due to work and they said no. When I asked why and explained the situation I was ignored. Tried to contact live chat again but it was the same person. Not a great first impression for the opening weekend:/
