I can't fail Kegworth on any level. The service was fantastic. Everyone was really friendly and helpful even when I pitched up at 11pm. The room was fab. Nice and clean. Perfect for a solo traveller. Appreciated being able to open the window to get a nice cooling breeze overnight. Nice and quiet, even the planes from East Midlands didn't bother me. I'll definitely add this to my schedule if I need to stay overnight on trips 'down south' and Ill recommend to family, friends and colleagues too. Thanks Kegworth!

We arrived late back from our holiday on arrival, I asked the chap a question and explain to him that my card details had changed and he said that was not a problem. He would scam this card as well. I didn’t find that very amazing not when it was past midnight. The review of the Hotel was very good. It was Clean lovely and warm as we’ve just come back from a holiday of 35 c We had a good night sleep and in the morning went down and spoke to the lady who was very very helpful and directed us to the breakfast which was pre-booked. We had a lovely fry up for a breakfast which went down really well. The lady could not be more helpful she went out of her way to explain if we wanted to stay there next time you could park your car here at a very reasonable price and stay the night. I will definitely consider using this hotel again. It was only 10 minutes from the airport. East Midlands and I was impressed with the facilities.

Decent location, with tonnes of parking. The rooms were exceptionally cheap and were pretty Spartan to match. The premises has a few rough edges, but nothing too severe. Every member of staff we dealt with was very helpful and pleasant. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Good points: Staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location is really convenient. Car park is big (although very dark as there is no lighting) They have these lamps next to the bed that have 2 sockets and USB. I know it sounds like a minor thing but the amount of hotels I stay in that have 1 socket by the bed. Bad points: There are no signs telling you where to go. Reception is not clear, the floors are not labelled, no signs to rooms, the gym is down a maze. The whole hotel is a bit of a maze inside. The gym is terrible. It has soviet era equipment that’s just piled up (see pics). The rooms are really dated. The shower head was totally inappropriate for the water flow so shot upwards spraying water everywhere. I had to turn it right down to get it to stay in place and the water jet was so narrow. Breakfast is low quality food. The car park was so dark. There were no lights and the ground is uneven, so take care. The staff are definitely the best part of the hotel. I have only stayed in 1 other hotel in the area which was Novotel and that was way better (sold out this trip unfortunately)

The hotel advertised a number of menu options as gluten free and quite clearly they weren't. Even after specifically asking for one item to be removed my salad came covered in a wheat based cous cous. The staff didn't have a clue about allergens. After serving our main course the staff ignored us for the rest of the evening and we were surrounded by dirty dishes for 3 hours. The fire doors were propped open with extinguishers, one door guard had a flat battery and there were electrical items and junk piled up in the corridor. There was no hot water in our room, the grout and sealants in the bathroom were mouldy and there were no instructions where to go in an evacuation. The shower rail was rusty. The room was clean, the bedding was clean and fresh as were the towels. Despite the budget price I felt the hotel fell below an acceptable standard in terms of fire safety and dietary matters, although the food was plentiful and well presented. Given the issues with water temperatures and associated risks we chose not to shower, and a bath in cold water held little appeal
