The Barn Hotel & Spa is located just 1 minute off the A1. A converted farmstead, it maintains much of its original charm and character whilst providing the convenience of modern conference facilities, refurbished. Our easy access and free parking for over 250 cars makes us a convenient choice.

As the perfect venue for every occasion we can accommodate from 2 to 300 delegates in 5 conference suites and meeting rooms. These are suitable for seminars, exhibitions, large conferences and small meetings.

Delegates are assured of top quality facilities and excellent service provided by our friendly team. One of our dedicated conference coordinators will work with you to ensure all of your requirements are met and your event is a resounding success.

You can choose lunch from a range of options these include a hot and cold two course buffet in our restaurant, a sandwich based lunch taken in our library or a working lunch in your meeting room.

With 102 well equipped bedrooms, gym, 15m pool plus sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi residential delegates can relax in the Health Club after a productive day, followed by a good nights sleep.

The Allington Suite, situated on the ground floor, benefits from natural lighting. The tastefully decorated and furnished suite has access from the car park. It has it's own bar, reception area and adjacent kitchen, along with outside seating and patio area.

Charge 50% of room hire if cancelled 30 to 7 days prior to arrival Charge 100% of room hire and 65% of food and beverage in 7 days prior to arrival. Cancellations on the day of arrival will result in 100% charges for all pre booked items. Cancellation/deposit and payment terms may vary depending on type and size of event.

Easy to check in, had a superior room which was impressive, the spa was great had a massage, that was lovely and used sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Evening meal was nice but having to wait an hour for dessert was a big disappointment,waiters told us a few times the dessert was coming but not impressed, think there was a coach party in and was told there was only one chef on but if you have that amount of guests you should have more than one one, but food was great, breakfast was good, plenty of choice and always replenished, all in all a great breakaway. A bit of a strange one — the hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, about seven miles from the nearest town. So if you’re after isolation, this is the place. That said, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. Dinner was nothing to write home about, but breakfast was decent — though a few items did seem a bit stale. Overall, a good stay. Just think carefully before booking — you really are out in the sticks. Nice enough place if that’s what you’re looking for.

Me and my wife stayed over for one nite with a spa package as part of a birthday gift, Nice quiet location but is looking rather tired in places. However it does look like they are revamping as there was a large roll of what looked like new carpet inside the spa waiting area. We had food in the bar for our evening meal which was pretty good to be fair, did take a while to come out as it was busy but well worth the wait . The room was as your typical hotel room with all the basics and the shower was spot on

Had a 2 night stay for my birthday. The staff were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to please the guests. We had a very long check in wait (Bank Holiday weekend) nearly 2 hours before we was in our room after arriving at 3pm but got complementary drinks while waiting. The hotel and spar is mid refurbishment, some parts amazing, other parts very tired. Our room was huge, but seemed to lack any character, fine if your a minimalist, but seemed it needed the finishing touches and some decor. Was annoyingly woken at 8am by the builders ripping out the changing rooms beneath our room on both mornings, with no compensation after complaining. We used the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, was nice and warm, steam room maybe too warm at times. The breakfast was amazing and the bacon huge! The homemade pizzas are also delicious. I'll be looking forward to returning when the refurbishment is completed.
