St Hugh’s College is one of Oxford University’s largest colleges and lies just off Woodstock Road. St Hugh’s was founded in 1886 and is steeped in history. We offer flexible and modern facilities for day and residential meetings, wedding receptions, dinners, and both private and corporate functions throughout the year. Set within 14 acres of beautiful gardens, St Hugh’s is one of the loveliest hidden delights of Oxford.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the the Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre Building. It provides 63 en-suite bedrooms, a 100-seat lecture theatre, a 150-seat dining area, and a range of conference and seminar facilities.

Our Mordan Hall suite is a set of rooms, conveniently located on the first floor of our Main Building and overlooking our gardens and terrace.

Mordan Hall was originally the College library and has a lovely traditional Oxford feel. The College uses Mordan Hall for celebrations such as our annual Carol Service.

St. Hugh's College, gracefully situated on St Margaret's Road, is, in my definitive opinion and based on the overwhelmingly warm accounts from its students and alumni, an absolutely delightful and commendably spacious college that successfully blends an inclusive, modern spirit with Oxford's traditional academic rigour. Everyone I know consistently praises St. Hugh’s for its beautiful, extensive gardens and grounds, which provide a refreshing and tranquil study environment somewhat removed from the central city bustle, making it feel more like a campus than a typical inner-city college. I understand from various conversations that the College maintains a particularly friendly and unstuffy atmosphere, offering excellent accommodation and facilities that significantly enhance the overall quality of student life and well-being. My subjective conclusion is that St. Hugh’s is a highly supportive and aesthetically pleasing environment for serious study, brilliantly marrying academic commitment with a comfortable, welcoming community feel.
