Cannot recommend the Panto Express enough. Fantastic value for money. First off SO MUCH parking, there is no stress of finding a space. We had bacon rolls/ tea before the pantomime The pantomime was brilliant, I wasn’t expecting it to be so good for the half hour it’s on! The elves were just incredible, so interactive and hilarious. Santa was brilliantly dressed, kids adored him. Train ride was perfect amount of time. Waiting for the magical elevator there was lots to do and the kids loved playing with the elves and writing their lists. Presents were really good and had a selection to choose from. It took us in all 2.5 hours and we rushed the end as we had lunch reservations. Could have easily spent another hour there as post Mrs Claus they had displays amongst the trains and we didn’t get a chance to do the visitor centre. As soon as booking is out for next year we’ll be there! Thank you Tinsel, Beans, Cinammon and all the other wonderful volunteers for making it a magical day. I won’t spoil with lots of photos but they’re so good!

An absolutely fantastic day out from start to finish! The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a true hidden gem for railway enthusiasts, families, and anyone who loves a bit of British history and charm. The beautifully restored **Quainton Road station** instantly transports you back in time, and the collection of vintage steam and diesel locomotives is incredibly impressive. Seeing the trains up close — and even riding in the classic carriages — is a magical experience for both children and adults. The museum exhibits are thoughtfully curated, offering fascinating insights into Britain’s railway heritage. The volunteers and staff deserve special praise — they are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do, which really enhances the experience. There’s plenty of space to explore, great photo opportunities everywhere, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere throughout. Whether you’re a serious train enthusiast or just looking for a wholesome, educational family day out, this place delivers in every way. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be returning! 🚂✨
