Great music venue! Good facilities. Friendly staff & reasonable prices at the bar

Great place for concerts, stand up comedy graduation ceremonies and other type of performances. The Lord Mayor offices are here as well as the City Council chamber. The Guildhall hosted the International Comic Con for first time in 2018 and they will do so again in 2019.

Fabulous venue to see the Counting Crows - really impressive acoustics - really enjoyed it. Shame we had to queue in the rain to get in, but understand why.

We recently went for comic con. They usually have good events on and this was no exception. The best toilets are definitely in the basement. They have a few bars, a main stage and various other multipurpose rooms available. It's a beautiful building and an important Portsmouth location. Very accessible.

We went to see a favourite folk-rock singer perform. The building is old-style and interesting, with facilities spread over a range of corridors, spaces and floors. The central theatre area has stalls with a good rake, and a grand circle that's not too far from the stage. We sat in the side-circle, which was great. The rows are closely placed, and it's not easy to move past others in the row, even when standing. The 'background' music during the interval was too noisy for me - almost as loud as the actual performances - and we had to shout just to hear each other.

Perfectly adequate venue for gigs and shows. Seats are a little uncomfortable if you're in the taller side, like me, and there aren't enough bars leading to occasions where I've not been able to grab a drink before the end of the intermission. Other than that it's a perfectly reasonable venue.
