About Venue

Located in the tranquil countryside near Corbridge in the Tyne Valley, Healey Barn offers beautiful open views south across the surrounding landscape. Yet despite its rural location, the barn is less than 20 miles from the centre of Newcastle. The Healey Barn buildings were converted by Cripps & Co in 2015 to create a luxury event space. Retaining the charm and history of the original building, the barn works as well in the summer, with doors opening out onto a sunny courtyard, as it does in winter, with a large stone fireplace and underfloor heating.

Healy Barn is blessed with sweeping views over the Northumbrian landscape on one side and out into the courtyard, with its glow of twinkling lights, fire pits and lanterns, on the other, the Oak Room can accommodate 140 guests seated to dine. Our feasts receive as many compliments as the barn itself. We buy the best, cook it simply and serve it generously. Food is flame-cooked from fresh ingredients on a huge BBQ and French rotisseries in full view of our guests. Menus are designed collaboratively with our in-house chefs. Luxurious overnight accommodation for up to 34 guests is available at Healey Hall. The events team at Healey Barn are on hand to help organise everything from the big ideas to the last minute details.

We recently had our wedding at Healey Barn in June 2025, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and made for the perfect backdrop for our special day. A huge shout-out to both Jacks, our coordinators, who were incredibly helpful throughout the entire day. They made everything so easy and stress-free, and their support truly made a difference. A special mention needs to be made for the food which was absolutely incredible! We highly recommend Healey Barn to any couple looking for a stunning wedding venue!

Wow, where to even start? As soon as I walked into Healey barn I knew that no other wedding venue would even come close! In the run up to the wedding, we had plenty of correspondence with the staff, all the information we needed and more! Fast forward to our wedding day, it was absolutely perfect! The venue was and is absolutely stunning! The staff were so helpful and ran the day so smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about anything! Everyone commented on how it was the best food they ever had at a wedding (I couldn’t eat at all that day from nerves/excitement). They coordinated the whole day excellently and kept us updated throughout. I have wedding blues now and want to do the whole day again! Absolutely magical ✨👏🏽🤍

Although the day itself was incredible, so was the 12 month build up! It sounds cliche but as soon as we set foot in Healey Barn we knew it was for us. The staff and co-ordinators are fantastic, responsive, professional, but also relaxed. We attended a few times prior to the wedding day - always made to feel welcome and heard. Our person of contact predominantly was Jack R - an absolute credit to the venue and to Cripps & Co. The day exceeded expectations by far and our guests have given us such incredible feedback about the venue and the way it was ran.
