Had a wonderful experience with family at the Philipburn Hotel. Adrian and his army of staff really went above and beyond to make our stay a truly unforgettable experience. First class service, food was excellent and the rooms were immaculate. The Hotel and grounds are stunning with some gorgeous quirky little touches. An absolute Gem of a place within the Scottish Borders. We will definitely be back again. Thank you all so very much. ! く

The exterior and dining area are very pretty traditional but the room itself was fatherly dimly lit and basic. This is a personal view, but I found that having Classic FM playing in the dining room a little pretentious and discouraged conversation. The food was however, excellent and the portions were large. Staff were helpful. This was quite an expensive place to stay.
