This is a proper old ground with character and charm. This beats most stadiums I've visited in the Championship, not for cleanliness or the mod-cons, but for pure character and a 'real football' experience. Getting to the ground is slightly difficult, with busy roads, packed buses and trams and not within a walk of the train station. The stewards and staff were welcoming, friendly and kind. It was a great atmosphere around the club, regardless of the fact there were peaceful protests from fans on the day. The one issue I have with the stadium is the food offering. The standard of the food was diabolical, in fact inedible. This added to the severe lack of drink options (water, tea or Carling), meant this didn't get 5 stars for an otherwise great day out.

Amazing reception from stewards and fans alike. Only downside was to get to corporate there was only stairs and no lift, there were also 2 flights of stairs down to where players coach comes in, we had to go down the street and round block to get underneath to coach area. The accessible toilets were massive, but one was broken. It was a great day but lost a star because of all the stairs and no accessibility entrance.

Old looking ground ends behind goals can get obstructed by pillars. Tight leg room you going to get bruises on your shins. Tram from station £5.70 return. Blue line one or two stops then on to yellow line to leppings lane. Then a 2 minute walk to the away end. Give yourself a hour to and from station. To make sure you don’t miss your train.
