Attended a private function at the hotel yesterday . The hotel is a lovely venue with ample parking, beautiful function room and pretty well maintained grounds. The staff were friendly and efficient and the buffet lunch tasty and plentiful. I would highly recommend this venue when considering booking for events.

The rooms, service and location were good but the food was of average quality. The Staff were helpful & attentive. Good quality of ales/lagers. Couldn't open the window in the room so the room was very warm at night.

Can I suggest some lighting on the outdoor signage on the road and in the car park. We drove up and down the road a few times in the dark and the hotel signs were not visible. Plus when we found the car park, again the signs were not lit so spend another while walking around and around to try to find the entrance which was at the rear. We were about to give up as the place looked all closed up! On a positive note the bed was lovely so we had a great nights sleep.

Extremely disappointing experience. I paid a premium price and expected basic standards of comfort and hygiene. Instead, the first room was damp, musty, and so unpleasant it made me sneeze non-stop. When I raised the issue, I was moved to another room that was even worse. This is completely unacceptable. Please review the attached photos as evidence.
