Great hotel in Taunton town centre. Lovely room and very helpful staff. Has great restaurant but didn't eat here as had other arrangements. Lovely breakfast, included when booking direct. On bus routes to station, Heritage Centre and other destinations.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Taunton, this hotel became more than just a venue—it became a part of one of the most memorable days of my life. We chose it to host our wedding reception, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The BEST roast dinner in Taunton by far! We came as a group of four for lunch this weekend, and it was absolutely incredible. Huge compliments to the chef -we’re already planning our next visit in a couple of weeks! The young staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic (We had a main and wonderful desert), great value for money, and the location is spot on. What more could you ask for? This isn’t just a hotel restaurant, and I think it often gets overlooked for that reason. But trust me, it deserves more recognition. Apart from Augustus which we normally go to for special occasions, this is now a very, very close second and would give any top restaurant a run for its money. We will be back asap! Incredible!

Family stayed for 2 nights, husband 2 nights. 1 night for me in Room 12. Great location, handy for supermarket, restaurants etc. Nice clean room, tea/coffee, fridge. Everything you need. Nice bar, and seating areas inside and out, and a car park. Breakfast was very good, food delicious. continental also very good. Worth a visit. :)
