About Venue
Hedingham Castle is a 900 year old Norman Keep at the heart of 160 acres of formal and wild gardens and woodland. Retaining its medieval character over five very differently styled floors, the newly restored keep is the perfect venue for formal banquets, corporate entertaining and parties, product launches and photo shoots.
For a fairy tale wedding in a real Castle, Hedingham is unique. Your Ceremony can take place on the floor above, and then the Garrison Floor transforms into the coolest medieval nightclub in England. With dance floor and bar, it's a venue you'll remember forever.

Hedingham castle was the perfect place for our wedding and reception. It is absolutely beautiful, the staff were fantastic leading up to the day and throughout the day. Shannon was a huge help in the garden cottage. She was super calm, made sure we all kept to time, and helped with the boutonnieres when we were all flapping. Thank you so much! Amanda was amazing and made sure the day floated by in a cloud of happiness, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Communications were prompt and clear and all my questions were answered during the planning meetings

We got married here on Monday and I couldn't be happier. From start to finish our day was perfection. It ran incredibly smoothly, the staff were attentive and went above and beyond for us. The catering was done by Splinters and my gosh was It a hit! The in house DJ was spot on aswell and captured what we wanted perfectly. We stayed in the Royal Chamber for our wedding night and it was beautiful. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was just so historical. Equally the lodge and the cottage housed our guests for the night and we didn't have any complaints. If we could, we would repeat our day everyday! Thank you to the whole team for making our day extra special.

Our autumnal wedding at Hedingham Castle on 18 Oct 2025 was EVERYTHING AND MORE! All our guests are still talking about our wedding as the best wedding ever and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. It was the perfect venue. I got to have a wedding ceremony that was by candlelight at 2.30pm in a Castle, day photos on the bridge and in the gardens of the Manor House after by a lake, a cocktail reception in the Manor House and a wedding breakfast under a beautiful marquee that had a secret dance floor which was only revealed during our first dance and we partied the night away! Everyone loved how even all at the same venue, we had different areas throughout the day and they were truly breath taking. The staff answered numerous emails back and forth, made the process so fun and the platters served at the lodge / cottage were amazing. The cottage had its own make up room to get ready in!!! We only wish we were a fly on the wall and could experience it all as a guest. It was the best day ever! Brad and Vanessa Avis xxx

We got married at Hedingham Castle on the 25th of October, and I couldn't think of a more perfect place to have our special day. Staff were incredible, made us feel like everything was in safe hands. We even ended up running ahead of schedule which made everything so relaxed and easy. Meeting with Sarah and communication with the team in the year running up to our wedding were very detailed and nothing was missed. Getting ready in the on-site cottage meant that we all had plenty of space and all the amenities we needed. The castle itself is stunning with its moody atmosphere in October, exactly what we wanted for our autumnal wedding. Staff were very helpful with my dress and the stairs before walking down the aisle. All the guest commented about what a magical place the castle was and how they loved that all the stages of the wedding were in one place. Catering was done by Splinters and was fantastic food and service. In house DJ Jethro was fab, played all the songs we wanted and checked with us that the first dance was the correct song. Guests stayed in the on-site Lodge and loved that they had a space to put their bags beforehand and felt comfortable. We stayed in the Castle Royal Chamber overnight which was amazing- very comfortable and had lovely continental breakfast. Overall what an incredible place, and fantastic service. Worth every penny and I wouldn't change a thing about the day!

Visited for the Knights of Albion event on the August Bank holiday. Fantastic event with lots to do, including axe throwing and archery included in the tickets. Castle and grounds are lovely and well maintained, however aside from the castle itself, not much to do on the site, and can be covered in a couple of hours if there are no events on as the castle itself isn't very large.
